Summary of the February and March Newsletters MG Club of Central Florida
Thanks for all the positive feedback on the last issue of the
newsletter.
Lots of interesting chatter on the internet lately. There are people
looking for help in fixing or buying and selling
cars, people concerned about new laws to take old cars off the road,
discussions of the role of MG cars in various
movies and TV shows, as well as descriptions of great roads to drive in your
MG. There are ongoing trivia questions
about how where and when Cecil Kimber died, the obscure and sometimes ludicrous
model names given to British
cars, and the availability of the MGF in Australia.
For those fond of pre WW II MGs there is a video available for $20
titled ³Inside the Octagon ³ which is said to be
quite good. Maybe the club can buy a copy or two. There is also going to be a
video on the later model cars from
the same producers if they make enough $ one the first video. It is sold by

1997 dues. Those of you who have

The Super-Bowl Sunday outing to Deleon Springs was well attended, seven
cars making the drive. Great to see
folks come out for events.
Looking forward to the next meeting on 2/20 and the tech session
(subject to be discussed at the meeting) on
2/22 at my house.

intelligent enough to live in sunny Central
Florida all year round don¹t have to wait for the snow and ice to melt, so we
could adopt a closer date, or better
yet, why not just drive the cars all year round with the tops down, and really
mess up some Yankee minds. Our
summer driving ³season² is when all the blue hairs scurry back to Ohio and
Wisconsin to avoid the life giving rays of
the tropical sun, leaving the roadways uncluttered.
