Well folks, I got my spark plug problem fixed (fouled plug). Unfortunately I
had to readjust my carbs because the first thing I did to remedy my rough
running engine, was to fiddle with the carbs (a lesson learned). And boy did
I have them out of adjustment.

Today I readjusted them to the point where the engine speed would increase
when lifting the piston and the RPM's remained constant, then I leaned the
mixture until the Speed would increase but then slow down again. Carbs
balanced at around 1000 RPM. The car purrs like a kitten but when I tromp on
the gas, I still get a lot of black smoke. Do I need to lean the mixture
some more? This is the same method I used on my GT6 (Zenith Strombergs) and
never had this problem. Any ideas?
