I have a 77B, which came with no O.D. I am now in the process of
installing a O.D. tranny.
As I understand, there are two switches on the tranny - a reverse light
switch, and a O.D. switch which is closed when the car is in 3/4,
allowing the O.D. to be active. This switch, according to Moss/Vicky B
is the same part # for both locations, and I have installed new switches
at both points on the new tranny.
Now my question: My old tranny also has two switches, basically in the
same location as the O.D. tranny. What is the second switch for? Was a
neutral safety switch fitted on later B's. I'm lost!
