We just had the same trouble with a '74 Datsun (Nissan). The pickup
screen was plugged solid, and 125 psi air pressure wouldn't clear it.

I tried laquer thinner, acetone, hydrochloric acid, and a big hammer on
the end of a long rod. Finally had to drill through the fuel pipe.

Does anyone know what happens to these screens?? Is it the oxydising of
the fuel, or what???
