Barney-
        I'm a Bugeye goofy as well as an MG afiencidendo.  In the course
of researching Bugeyes, I noted the "center gear change"  applied to them
as well.  This nomenclature is to distinguish them from the far rarer
column shift MG's and Sprites.  You have probably never seen one of those
examples.  Damn rare vehcles!!
