  Aron,
      You could find a contact to NIST (National Institute of Standards
and Technology, used to the National Bureau of Standards) or - take your
meter with you to your local electronics store (Radio Shack is fine).
Compare it against some of theirs. If it's off by a significant amount,
you'll see it immediately. Virtually any out-of-the-box instrument will
be accurate enough for your purposes. Then use it on your lbc. (got it
in)
