        I wouldn't rule out the gas possibility yet. Since you can't see
whats going on under the hood when the car dies it could be that the carbs
are not getting gas for some reason. Just because the pump is working does
not necessarily mean the carbs are filling. Try to make it die in the
driveway with the hood up. While the hood is up and the engine running
wiggle the wires especially all the primary ones. You may just have a
loose connection, a bad coil could also be shorting out if you need advice
on how to check the coil just ask.
