MGB turn signals not cancelling...

Well, that was even easier than I thought...

I took the cowling off of the steering column and discovered that the
bump on the shaft that turns the signal off was 180 degrees off. I
looked at it and it appeared that the steering column had been
disassembled and reassembled 180 degrees off. I was griping to my wife
that I as going to have to dissassemble the steering column to rotate it
180 degrees because the DPO had screwed this up, well, She says "Why
don't you just rotate the little bracket that turns the signal off
around." and I say, "I can't do that, it's permanently attached to the
column". I look again, there is not a screw or anything holding it, but
it also looks like there isn't any spot welds either, so... I push on
it, and it rotates, 2 seconds later the signals will now cancel
properly.  I'm glad I showed that to my wife, or I would have had the
whole car disassembled for nothing....

Well, I hope all of the fixes are that simple!   :)
