Reports about a loud beast with an astounding vocal signature have been
streaming in recently from atop Garland Mountain. Although neighbors have
until now heard only great and terrible rumblings, sightings have now been
confirmed. The beast was seen barreling down Addington Lane and onto GA 140.
In his grasp was the young(OK-soon to be 40) Dr. Green. The whereabouts of
Bgor are unknown and we fear the worst!
Villagers are mounting a search team to kill the beast. Please bring
with you either torches or Lucas electronics-the monster must be stopped!
 Hide all women and children!

Many thanks are cordially extended in the revival of Picklestein. Although
some you have slipped my feeble memory, I would like to thank: George M, Art
P, Tom(FunE), MG Dave, Trevor B, Jeff B, and all of the rest of you for your
help and support!!

The problems and solutions are as follows. First I had no spark on #1
cylinder and the car was missing. This electrical problem turned out to be a
fuel problem. I reset the choke, cleaned the carb bowl( I think the needle
valve was stuck open) and reset the fuel/air mixture to a leaner setting
(using that nifty $10 Allen wrench ). This was done after I discovered a
lake of gasoline in the intake manifold that would make the Spring flooding
of the Mississippi River seem to be a mere trickle. The plugs were so wet
that they wouldn't fire.
As for the clutch sticking, it wasn't in backwards and the slave
cylinder was actually extending far enough(I guess those rebuild kits that
are on fast delivery from Moss will end up in the trunk as spares). What
appears to have happened is the new pilot bushing(OK I'll soak it in oil next
time-just in case!) was such a tight fit on the trans input shaft, that in
effect it locked on and caused a direct connection between the crankshaft and
transmission. The solution was to put the rear up on jack-stands, start the
motor in gear, depress the clutch, rev the engine, and then apply the brakes
several times. It broke free after about the fourth attempt! Tomorrow the
hood(bonnet) goes back and the lookout Northern Georgia!

OH MY GOD!!!!! I'VE GOTTA GO!!!!!!! HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE CARRYING TORCHES,
PITCHFORKS, AND.......................I DON'T BELIEVE IT......LUCAS SPARES
HAVE CONVERGED UPON MY MANOR! BGOR, GRAB THE HOT OIL!

Tom Green and Bgor
May we too be reborn after this mob is through with us!
