I removed and reinstalled the oil pressure relief valve/
spring and have the same pressure...70-75lbs running
cold, 60lbs running warm. Still low pressure at idle.
Would a pump cure the low idle pressure if all the bearings
are good (they only have 1000mi on them)?
Also, when the oil is warm, it sometimes takes a second
or three to build pressure when accelerating from idle.
Would a new pump help this? I just don't want to get
down there if I don't have to (it doesn't sound like a
fun job!).
