Hey list.
In case you're wondering what the problem was with my mga motor that had no
oil pressure on initial start up.
Priming was not the problem. 
The problem was that the "machine shop" (I now refer to them by other, less
endearing terms) neglected to put the gear drive off the cam in to the oil
pump before assembly. So the oil pump was primed (quite full, actually.
Thanks for all the suggestions.  They worked!) but the Bone Head at the
machine shop must have thought the pump would turn itself.

While I have the pan off I'm going to check all the torque settings for
everything inside the motor. Just in case...
Hopefully I'll be able to drive her tomorrow!!!
