Hi Tim, 
  You won't have any trouble starting as long as the car is in generally
good tune.  Clean air filters, working choke linkage, clean gas--nothing
special.  My father drove my TD in Richmond, where he bought it, for
several years. He did have the dealer (Trans-Sport Motors) install a
heater.
