Coil Polarity

Know this has been on here before but need to get it straight again. On
the coils that are marked CB(Contact Breaker) and SW(Switch) only, which
is the + and which is the - side? Is there a test for determining coil
polarity if the coil is not marked? On a positive ground car the +
terminal of the coil connects to the distributor. Is this the CB side of
a coil that is not marked + or - ?
