Hey Joseph:

I have used a small screwdriver, very carefully to remove the bezel
plates from the dash switches. Sometimes it has been helpful to squirt
some WD40 around the switch bezel to rid the area of dust and grime that
might make removal more difficult.

I had a friend that bought a set of those ring clip removers (5 or 6 in
the set, I think) from Harbor Freight (about $10 bucks). He carefully
ground down the two points of one of the 90 degree tools to fit the
slotted grooves of the MGB bezel plates. He seemed to think that this
gave him more control over previous methods. At least he didn't ruin
his dash upon re-installation!

One wouldn't mind terribly about scratching up an old dash that was
about to undergo restoration. But the thought of slipping and
scratching up a newly finished dash with nice black wrinkle paint (with
a screwdriver or some other tool) sends shivers up my spine!!

Good luck and Cheers!
