This may be too late (I get my messages in Digest form), but an
important fact for the fellow wondering how to hook up his Ignitor
ignition module. If you have a non-ballasted ignition coil (ie., your
coil runs at 12 volts all the time like MGAs and early MGBs) you can
hook the wires across the coil (red to positive side and black to
negative side for negative ground cars). But if your car has a ballast
resistor or wire, this will knock the voltage down to about 6 or 7 volts
across the coil. This is INSUFFICIENT to run the ignitor module
reliably, and you will have starting and missing problems. If you have
a ballasted system, you need to find a source of +12V power controlled
by the ignition switch, and connect the red wire to that source, rather
than directly to the ignition coil.

As for the best source of wiring diagrams, nothing beats the factory
workshop manuals (distributed in the US by Robert Bentley publishers).
Haynes has good diagrams, but they don't always publish all the
different iterations of MGB, like all the North American spec. models.

For more general info, see my first article on dealing with Lucas
Electrical Systems in the Feb/Mar issue of British Car Magazine.
