Don't hold your breath, the Euro may not happen for a while. There's 
still a lot of controversy over it, the UK has said it won't adopt it in 
the immediate future.

Personally, I think it's a good idea, but instead of calling a common 
currency the Euro,which is incredibly naff, each country should retain 
it's own name - Pound, Franc, Mark, etc., but the coins and notes would 
be the same value and size. Still, that's far too sensible for the 
Eurocrats, eh? ;-)

Hey, a United Europe would be the most powerful nation on earth. That'll 
worry the Yanks! :-) (ohh, I'm really going for the flames today!)
