I waqs going to purchase them for my race car, but decided
to try Bel-Ray 40 wt shock oil first. I haven't purchased
the oil yet, so I can't tell you if it worked or not. This
was suggested by a listmember (I forget who it was, so sorry
for not giving credit where it is due)and I think it makes
sense.
Seems to me that the valves just provide a smaller aperture
for the oil to flow. Wouldn't it make sense that thicker
oil would have the same effect? I'm currently using heavy
gear oil. I've heard of others using 50wt. I think the Bel
Ray is the best bet because it's made for shocks and
contains seal swellers and anti-foaming agents. YMMV
