I'm really looking forward to the Carrolton, KY Scottish Days meet on 9 May.
I know exactly what you mean about the exhaust. My B is on ramps now waiting
for its new exhaust to arrive. When I removed the old exhaust (everything
from the manifold back), the head pipe fell apart too. Of course, I had
tried to patch it with one of those kits and it just hastened its
long-overdue death!
You could do like me and spruce up the underside while the exhaust is off
and you're waiting for the new one to arrive -- hard to get at with the pipe
in place.
I just puttered around this weekend, replaced the air filters and belt,
installed my long-lost seat belt latch (finally got one), fixed the brake
light problem, cleaned the trunk and got my freshly-restored spare in there.
Luckily, the weather's been pretty crappy around here, so I'm not getting
too anxious (That's a LIE!).
