This is a shame, Derek has done a LOT of work on this car since he bought
it. He's giving up now.
Derek frequents EFNET #mg and this is how I know. Hell he replaced the
engine fercrissakes!
My instinct tells me this car just needs a bit more work (tranny) and
understanding (and good Karma, cuz Derek doesn't know what Karma is, hehe,
just kidding Derek)
And it wouldn't be a bad buy, although Derek will suffer!
Derek can tell you the details, but it was sold to him as "fully restored"!
This is no bust on him, since he's fought valiantly to keep it on the road,
but buying a 28 year old car for daily transportation with no back up is a
risky proposition for anyone. Moral to the story -- Impulse buys are bad for
everyone involved in these cases. And this car should get a good home. I've
seen the pics and it looks nice.
