I've been somewhat of a lurker, what with my B in storage far away, but I've
a question. What's more pathetic - a hobby that brings great enjoyment, a
feeling of accomplishment when you turn the key and hear the engine you've
assembled roar to life, and a feeling of self sufficiency when you can fix
something yourself rather than paying a lot to have (sometimes) incompetent
mechanics work on your regular vehicle, or paying someone to do absolutely
everything for you, and still not knowing if the work has been done and done
right? That money spent could go for a lot of other things - more cars and
parts for example! Just a thought.
