I can lay out a little info since my MG club (Central Jersey Centre) is in
the process of having badges made. I don't know the name of the mfgr, but
I can find out easily enough. Anyway, the die must first be made, which is
a one-time cost of $500, and we are obligated to buy 50 badges, for roughly
$25 each. We expect to be getting a lot more orders than that, as there are
collectors world-wide who have enquired from all the clubs about buying
badges. The badge will be made in the cloisonne method, which is the best
way, I'm told... baked enamel and all that. So after our project person
ran all the numbers, he decided that the badges would cost about $35 each.
(Bearing in mind economics of scale since it isn't going to sell like RAC
badges.)

I'd be curious about the costs you have found.
