Hi Stuart,
  You may not need this tool.  I was able to remove the pump with a pair
of circlip pliers by using the right-angle points.  A DPO had pounded on
the thing with a screwdriver, it appeared, but the little pliers did the
job.  A set of right-angle needle nose pliers should do it too.
