I own  a TVR and thought I should comment. The Mk 2A is _not_ the pick of the
litter as far as TVRs go! It has Volkswagen suspension on both ends(!!) and
the torque tube trailing arms flex all over the place. Light and peppy, but
also squirrely.

I know whereof I speak, as I race a TVR Mk 3 - the one with double A arms
front and rear, that handles _very_ well. (Also originally MGA powered,
although I use a 3 main B engine with HRG heads and Webers).
