Thankyou all for the advice that you gave me aprox a week ago. I
apreciate the time you all spent letting me know what I should check
before a trip cross country. The only thing that suprised me was the
sugestion that I take a spare fuel pump..is it common on these cars for
the pump to go?
In any event it is the middle of winter here in the great northeast
and patience for summer is beginning to run out. So I decided on a
sunny forty degree to take the top down, put a scarf on and go for a
ride! first things first, have to pull the wheel (front passenger side)
the PO hit the curb to many times and after a month of not adding any
air it is flat...bring it to the air pump fill it with air and bring it
home. So tighten all of the bolts, lower the car tighten one, two,
three, shoot. Yes I snapped a wheel stud. No big deal right, go to
NAPA or Wheels or etc. and get a new one. Err we dont have a listing for
a 74 MG Midget...
I guess that I am just going to have to get used to ordering
everything that I need through British Victoria and Moss...Sigh I really
would like to support a shop locally..
Which brings us to the point of this post. I live in Troy, New York
(yes that is USA). Are there any clubs in the Upstate Region of New
York? Even better anyone now of any Junkyards with MG's in them in the
upstate area? Again thankyou all for your responses.
