It depends on the product.  It is DuPont Imron ( acrylic polyurethane ) it
can be
touch up and blended in.  If it is the harder polyester polyurethane it
can't be done.
In either case both chemistries are extremely hard coatings and probably
the 
only way to do it is by an experience professional I would think.  I had a
fender 
repainted on my A.  The car was painted with a one pack product.  The auto
body
shop used the new base coat, clear coat technology and the color is
perfect.
The gloss level is higher but it is not noticeable.
