Well Parker, which one of the 135 common popping sounds was it?  Or maybe
it was one of the other 700 less common noises an MG is capable of
generating.  You have to be real intimate with these things.  I'm afraid
you will need to give us greater detail, like if it felt good for instance,
or if it just peaked your curiosity.  Perhaps it was just expressing its
appreciation for the TLC you were administering.  Did it leave anything on
the pavement for you, other than the normal oil and coolant drips?
Appearantly it still likes you, because if it was really P.O.'d it wouldn't
start.
