i am almost at my wits end
went to Carlisle this year on the way i heard this big bang under
the car being old and probably asleep i woke with a start
the car was running and no apparent damage i continued on

on the way back there was a noticeable vibration when i traveled
between 2500 and 3000 rpm in high wasn't that bad so i didn't
change my plans to go to Maryland the next day about 120 miles ran
fine if i stayed away from 2500 to 3000

well its now worse
put the 71 mgbgt up on jack stands and looked about
something hit the bottom dont know when perhaps on the way to Carlisle
having it up in the air i changed the u-joints
my first guess as the cause of vibration felt fine for a bit
and then it came back to a transmission shop where they were
sure that the bent driveshaft was the problem had one fabricated
the car ran well but it feels like it is coming back
up on stands again checked the rear rims for trueness
they were fine swapped tires left and right rear
don't know if the swapping of the tires will make a difference
going out soon and check it out
my last thought is that there is a resonant vibration that comes in
at 25-3000 rpm
will swap the front wheels tonight
any and all suggestions are welcomed
thanks
rocky
