The 62-67 cars had a three-terminal flasher unit and one side of the dash
indicators went back to that.  68-71 cars seem to have just a physical
connection to the dash (I think all other dash components have a ground
wire), after that they are shown as having a proper ground wire.  If you are
in the middle range then maybe your paint job is so good you have an
insulated dash.
