I had the same problem with my leftside headlight about a year ago. I posted
the problem here after replacing the lights. I got several several great
responses. The fix was a very simple cleaning of the connector that runs to
a bluish wire at the cone housing of the headlight. Actually, I just jiggled
it around a little, the bright beam light came on then I removed the wire and
cleaned the terminal.
