Please folks.
Enough of this. I only really needed some opinions from those who were
familiar with the British legal and law enforcement system as to what they
thought were good LEGAL alternatives for us to take. The additional support
I received from everyone was greatly appreciated. It's nice to know people
are there for you; that they share some of the pain and some of the anger.
But I don't want this to be the only thread (yes jay, I know) going around
on the lists. Everyone has their opinions, and a devil's advocate (whether
intentional or not) is always better to have around than not.
Once again. Thank you all for your kind thoughts, and caring advice. But
please lets not start a list war over this. It ruins it in case someone
else _needs_ a forum such as this to reach people.
I didn't write to the lists without giving it a great deal of thought. But
I really needed a quick insight, and realized this was my best resource.
It's practically my only resource since I didn't want her to know I was
discussing it with too many people. In spite of that, I'm forwarding a few
responses to her so she knows she's not alone, and that there are legal
recourses out there if she so chooses.
