The Renault Dauphine was a pretty, and very popular car in Europe ( UK
included ) in the fifties. It had very modern styling for its day.
Here, they are still easy to get.This last statement does not apply to the
Dauphine Gordini, which was a real rallying terror.

A successor of the Dauphine was the Floride; the people at Abingdon took a
long, hard look at this car before designing the MGB...
