The previous responses are correct about TC 10006 being one of the last
TCs built. Also Lawry was correct in describing the TC EXU model. What
he didn't mention is that the EXU is a rare variation of the TC. EXUs
were only built from Dec 48 thru the end of the TC production. Less
than 500 were made - I'm not sure but I think it was 496. The most
distinctive feature of the EXU was the factory installed bumpers - the
only TCs so equipped. Most of the bumpers were discarded by early
owners as they did nothing for the looks of a TC and provided little
protection. So while a TC EXU is rare, an EXU with its original bumpers
is even rarer. Also, most - but not all TC EXUs were originally
equipped with a unique Brooklands steering wheel - 3 flat chrome spokes
and a gold pearl rim.
