If this does work, rather than a fire extinguisher, get one of the cans of air
that are used for cleaning computers, turn it upside down and spray it, it
shoots out the propellant, which is the same as a fire extinguisher, (very
cold). these are much smaller than any fire extinguisher and you can get it
into a much smaller area. Be careful the propellant will cause svere burning
if you get it on your skin.

Ho;w about heating the nut, followed quickly by a blast from a COO fire
extinguisher on the spoke, so that you get contraction of the spoke within
the expanded nut. Haven't tried this, but the theory seems to make sense.
