Thanks - Where should I start?

Many thanks to all those who replied to my query about the 
clutch/hydraulic system. The reservoir was low on fluid 
(too close to my last service for my liking). After topping 
up and pumping the clutch I have regained the use of the 
gears although there is still some difficulty in reverse. 

This will get me by I hope until the weekend when I can get 
a closer look at where a leak might exist. It looks like 
Haynes will be my book of choice at bedtime until then.
