Don't know how many of you subscribe to Automobile magazine, but in each
issue they feature select results of an auto auction and provide some
commentary. I personally find it very interesting. In the latest issue, they
remark on the Classic and Collector Car and Exposition Sale held at the
Imperial Palace Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Held from 10/31-1/1. Here's
what was said of an MGB:

1964 MGB Roadster. S/N GHN3L36533. White over tan leather, black top. Four
speed, luggage rack. An early B, with pull handles, chrome bumpers, and wire
wheels (that were covered in brake dust). The top is old and faded, the
chrome on the luggage rack is going away, amd the interior is dirty and shows
extensive use. A tired and very used car. SOLD at $11,025.

Commentary: Early MGB's are still cheap enough to be purchased as an
avocation yet provide enough performance to be used on today's freeways. This
price was on the high side; normally, an MGB has to be in very nice shape to
bring $11,000.

Submitted for your entertainment,
