I am converting my 1977 MGB to dual SU HIF4s. I am wondering how I should
route the return hose for the heater/ZS water choke. I have the older heater
return hose that fits over the valve cover, but that does not fit the later
model lower radiator hose in the car. I have run the car with the dual carbs
before with the ZS/heater return hose running on top of the heat shield and
below the carbs, but that set up looks poor to me.
Is there a lower radiator hose I can use with the top mounted heater return
tube and the forward mounted radiator? Or do I need to make some kind of
extension tube to run down the front of the engine? If I do decide to go
with the ZS/Heater tube under the carbs, where can I find another one of
those little "hose bibs" that blocks off the water choke return? I had two
that came with my choke conversion kit, but one leaked and I had to cut the
other off when I changed back to the ZS to pass smog.
