Subject: some MG questions

Dear Rick Brown,

I am writing a short story and am hoping you or a member of the Keystone
Region MG Club would be able to help me.

My main character purchases a used '53 MG convertible in 1959 for $1000.
Is that reasonable?
what colors were available on the '53?
Would it go 80 mph?
Would there be a windscreen washer?
Would the wiper blades be made of rubber?
What octane would it run on?

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks, Patricia Hilborn
