Yes. Use a small flat punch and a smaller hammer and tap it counter-clockwise.
It will not take much and it doesn't unscrew like a pickle jar lid--It only has
locking cams, for want of a better description. To paraphrase the
manuals-assembly is the reverse of the disassembly.
