Ok, got the switch removed intact. Problem: No heater fan working.
What has been done so far: The heater fan squirrel cage works just fine
(nice and quiet now) when touching the wires (black and green & yellow)
to the car battery. There is current on the fuse box in the engine.
There is a line fuse below the fuse box, with green & white wire and
green & pink wire. The fuse is good (has tried using different fuse too)
that fuse is suppose to do heater fan motor. There is no current coming
to either of the green & pink wires (2) or the green and yellow wire to
the fan switch. Have new fan switch, doesn't matter. Still doesn't work,
of course, but since I broke the other one getting it out, had to get
one. There aren't suppose to be any connectors on the wire from the
line fuse or the green & yellow going to the heater fan, nor can I find
any. I have spent the better part of the day looking for loose wires in
the engine compartment (since the clutch was just replace one week ago
today) can't find any loose wires in engine compartment, nor anything
hanging loose under dash. What else can I look for besides the tufts of
my hair I am pulling out? I liked putting the hand brake cable in, that
was WAAYY easier than this!
Thank you,
Sheila
