I wouldn't think he'd actually have any problem. I'm 6'1" but mostly 
legs, and I don't even run the seat all the way back in my roadster. 
Mostly passengers complain about having nowhere to brace their feet. 
Someone my height with a longer waist might have trouble looking out the 
roadster windscreen, but I think you'd have to be 6'5" to have a headroom 
problem. The GT has a much taller windscreen so presumably has a higher 
roofline. Most of the British cars I've known have plenty of legroom 
(Midgets excepted!), and infinite headroom with the top down! Of course, 
getting in and out takes a certain amount of agility and/or youthful 
resilience.
