Spent four glorious days touring the New Forest last weekend, one of the
attractions of the area for us is that it is like going back in time 50
years, not least because of free car parking and 50p ice-cream. Visited
Beaulieu Garage as they have a collection of classics for sale and in the
short time that we were there a Jaguar C-type pulled up at the 4-star leaded
pump with a spectacular backfire, driver complete with leather flying helmet
and goggles, shortly followed by an MGA driven by a chap in a tweed jacket
with leather elbow patches, peaked cap and string-backed driving gloves. 50
years indeed.
