Car Alarms?

Can I fit an electronic gizmo to a +ve earth '67B Roadster?
I have always assumed not.
So I have fitted 2 concealed cut out switches for  ignition & fuel
pump  and use a monstrous yellow steering wheel clamp which, when  the
car is parked and left, is hidden beneath the tonneau cover.
But I still hear  occasional horror stories about mint MGs being
trailered away from the owners front door.
At the risk of jinxing myself, no problems to date!
