On my first sprite I put a switch in line with the ignition wire that
went "through the tach". Open the switch and no ignition. I mounted that
switch behind the dashboard and it wasn't even visible. I didn't even have
to worry about someone driving the car for two blocks.
Eventually, I will mount a battery kill switch in my car. This will
totally disconnect the electrical system. I'm betting on the very low
probability that at thief would happen to have one of the removable
handles for the kill switch.
