I'll second the motion of the angle grinder. Another tool is to get either a
spot weld cutter or spot weld drill to use in a standard 3/8 electric drill.
These aren't very expensive and won't wreck a panel if you want to keep it for a
pattern.
If you've got a large sabre saw, think about trying it with metal cutting
blades.
Most tools don't let you get in close to corners. I've had to use a cheap, $30,
die grinder with small cut off wheels to get close to some rib, etc.
Air chisels really can bend up the metal, pull spot welds out of the wrong panel
leaving you a hole, etc. I like to carefully take each panel off so I can see
how everything is assembled. If you've done work like this before and know
what's underneath perhaps the air chisel is fine. But for a newby, I like to
take it carefully.
