My son (Mike, the youngest) just called and asked me to stop by
the house to see something. I went over and imagine my surprise
when they opened the garage door and there was a new Sears air
compressor as an early Christmas present. It is a 30 gal. (I think),
5.5HP, 110V, oil free upright with two wheels. It came with a 25'
hose, 3/8" ratchet, and assorted air chucks.
My other son, Rich, has a friend who works at Sears and he said
they were closing these out at $169, so he took a look yesterday.
It turns out that yesterday was the last day they were allowed to
sell them, and he got it for $124.50. This is a $400 compressor!
The rest of them...are you ready...WENT TO THE CRUSHER!!!!!
Sometimes you wonder where their brains are. I woulda bought
several of them to sell on eBay (Your Personal Trading Community),
but they are gone now. If you are looking for a compressor, you
might want to check your local Sears and talk to a department
manager.
