I just had to pass on to the fellow listers a VERY pleasant experience.
You might remember that a couple of weeks ago, list member Stuart MacMillan
of Seattle offered up some new replacement rocker parts and a floor panel he
no longer needed. As Seattle is only 150 miles south of me I anticipated
that shipping would be reasonable and a deal was negotiated and I sent a
check the friday before the long weekend.
Lord and behold Stuart finds that shipping weight added 10 lbs. to the
package so he hops in his Van and delivers them to my door today, (a 1 1/2+
hour drive each way & with the long weekend he hasn't even got the check
yet).
Added Bonus!
He is looking for a Sandblasting Cabinet for parts cleanup... I am
downgrading my floor unit to a benchtop model.... off my HUGE sandblater
goes into the back of his Van. He will rip up the check when he gets it and
include some other MG parts I need that he has, No cash just good old
fashioned barter....
I will pick up the parts from his place in Seattle in the next couple of
weeks.
Stuart, you are a scholor and a gentleman!
