First of all, if you fixed something and something else stops working right 
after that, its highly likely that its related. In this case, if you 
replaced the starter and the car does not fire immediately after the 
replacement, the problem may very well have occurred in the replacement. 
I'd verify all your wire connections to the starter are good and the 
connection is not loose. Also make sure you have a good charge on your 
battery(s).

You could also try the old fashion push start - if that works, then the 
slow turning over of the starter is where the problem lies.
