I just replaced wiper blades in a 76B.
The connector was a single small hole (dimple?) on the bottom end of the 
arm, top side.
Moss catalog separates 69-72 from 73+ arms  (164-640 vs 164-650 respectively).
Mine fit fine (164-650)...think you have the wrong one.
