Take the carbs and both manifolds off. The vented front cover extends
over 1" into the block, so you won't be able to remove it with the
exhaust manifold bolted up. With luck you can tip the exhaust manifold
far enough out of the way without detaching it from the collector pipes.
Try tightening them up first.
