If I can add a couple of things to this list

Spare fuses
Fuel pump points (assuming original SU pump) or a spare fuel pump.
Alternator/fan belt.

I would then say this list would cover most breakdowns, I have done two
extended European tours in a B, the first one through Greece and Yugoslavia
(as it was then), 5000 miles in a 13 year old unrestored B, we had 2
problems, the heater valve failed and dumped the coolant on the road,
leaving it switched to max cured that, the second problem was not one you
would expect, we had changed the brake shoes and pads before we went, as it
later turned out we used a set of pirate Ferodos which were around at the
time, one of the pads exploded and popped out of the caliper - no brakes -
in the Austrian Alps!

The second tour was a 3500 mile tour to Spain and Portugal in a well cared
for daily driver. Had new brake shoes and pads, new tyres, new fan belt
fitted and all fluids changed before I went. Carried most of the spares
listed here and had no problems at all!

Have fun - one day I too will do a Northern tour of Europe! <g>

Cheers
